Discover everything happening ahead of the 54th Trofeu Taronja

Valencia CF will take on Newcastle United FC this Saturday at 9:00 p.m. in the 54th edition of the Trofeu Taronja.

After their preseason matches at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna and the bet365 Stadium (Stoke-on-Trent), the team returns to Mestalla for another fixture ahead of the start of the competitive season. As with every edition of this special summer tradition, the afternoon will feature a variety of tributes and activities for supporters.

This match will also be a special occasion, as Valencia CF has invited the mayors of the 18 municipalities in the Valencian Community affected by the devastating wildfires.

From 7:30 p.m., the stadium gates will open and the team will arrive. From that time onward, supporters will be entertained by the Vall d’Uixó marching band.

Later, the first-team squad will take to the pitch in lines and assemble facing the Main Stand for the traditional team photo, a longstanding Trofeu Taronja tradition.

Before kick-off, players from the VCF Academy will carry onto the field a large banner inspired by the Riba-roja del Túria mural from the Ruta d’Art Urbà, paying tribute to the final season at the current Mestalla Stadium.

Finally, the Vall d’Uixó marching band, accompanied by a soprano, will perform the Anthem of the Valencian Community.

Valencia CF will wear the AWAY KIT for the match—a design inspired by the sea and the Mediterranean coastline's sunsets, featuring elegant shades of blue with Mediterranean Orange accents.

After the match, Valencia CF legend Vicente Guillot will present the Trofeu Taronja to the winning team. This year's trophy will once again feature a sustainable design.
